Our Aims

  • To advance Environmental Education
  • To organize and/or participate in environmental projects designed to:
    • Preserve and protect flora and fauna by restoring local wildlife including native bird life, fisheries and flora
    • Preserve, protect and restore rivers in general, with The Ramsar Area and the estuary of the Manawatū River in particular
    • Improve Foxton’s urban and rural environments
  • To work with Government Departments, Regional and Local Authorities, other organizations and groups to advance any of the Trust’s aims.
  • To generate sufficient sustainable income to ensure independence and remove reliance on Charitable donations.
  • The preservation of wildlife and provision of a world class education and tourism facility for the community and economy of Foxton and New Zealand.
